cities where Pilot Auto operates
Do you like motorcycles and dream of riding freely on your own “iron horse”? The first step is to get a category A driving license. For this, you can immediately enroll in motorcycle driving courses at the “Pilot” school. We offer quality training from scratch, also helping to improve your riding skills and teaching confident and safe driving.
Who can get a category A license
Today in Ukraine, you can see different types of two-wheeled vehicles: mopeds, scooters, enduro bikes, and large motorcycles. They differ not only in size but also in the type of license required. Licenses are of two types: A1 and A.
Category A1 allows you to operate vehicles with an engine capacity up to 50 cm³ or 4 kW (for electric engines), such as mopeds and scooters. You can get an A1 license from age 16 after training and passing the exam.
Category A is issued for motorcycles with engine capacity over 50 cm³ or 4 kW. You can also get it from age 16 after training and passing the exam.
Note: drivers with category A but without A1 cannot operate vehicles under 50 cm³. If needed, you should take an express course and pass the exam.
Where to enroll in motorcycle driving courses at Pilot Auto
Category A driving courses are available in several cities with our branches: Rivne, Ternopil, Kyiv. In each city, multiple Pilot Auto branches are available, so you can choose the most convenient one.
Regardless of the city, every Pilot motorcycle school provides quality training and comfortable conditions for each student.
How training works in category A courses
The full program consists of two parts: theory and practice. In theory classes, students learn:
- traffic rules;
- riding in difficult weather conditions;
- motorcycle mechanics;
- first aid in case of accidents.
Initial practical lessons take place on a driving range, then in real urban conditions. Instructors select various routes, streets with different traffic levels, complex intersections, and roundabouts.
You can also take only theory or only practice. This is usually chosen by beginners preparing for the license exam.
Motorcycle license exam
The exam is conducted at the MIA Service Center and consists of two parts:
- theory — computer test with 20 questions, maximum 2 mistakes allowed;
- practice — the driver must perform a set of maneuvers flawlessly.
Upon successful completion of both parts, the motorcycle license is issued.
Advantages of the Pilot Auto network
We stand out for a modern approach to training. Pilot focuses on preparing for everyday driving, so practice takes place in urban conditions. Other advantages include:
- flexible schedule with the ability to choose lesson times;
- individual approach to each student;
- qualified instructors who help develop confident riding skills.
Another advantage is transparent payment conditions. You can check the current price on the website. When registering, the cost is fixed and remains unchanged, protecting students from unexpected extra fees.
